CSS works with State and Government agencies to collect and analyze information about consumer' experiences with health care. Our surveys have included general member populations - Fee for Service Medicare and Medicaid populations, long-term services and support programs, case management, community-based health care programs, and more.
Expert panels & CAHPS surveys for government agencies nationwide
We participate on expert panels and advisory councils for the National Advisory Council (the precursor to the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality), the Institute of Medicine, the National Quality Forum, and CMS's Physician Compare Technical Expert Panel. We have also collected CAHPS survey response data files from the many plans that participate in the Government Employee Health Benefits (FEHB) program. We analyze those data for the Office of Personnel Management, which then uses the results of our analyses to prepare the Open Season guides that assist employees and retirees to choose a health plan.
Aggregating and Analyzing CAHPS Data
CSS has been responsible for collecting CAHPS survey response data files from the 100+ plans that participate in the Government Employee Health Benefits (FEHB) program. We aggregate and analyze those data for the Office of Personnel Management (OPM), which then uses the results of our analyses to prepare Open Season guides that assist employees and retirees in choosing a health plan.
